Inter Miami forward Lionel Messi scored twice in the first half of the Major League Soccer Cup play-offs match against Nashville SC at Chase Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on Sunday.

The Argentine’s strike from outside the penalty area in the 10th minute gave Miami the lead in the series-deciding third match after winning the first clash 3-1, while Nashville won the second 2-1.
The second came in the 39th minute, after young Argentine Mateo Silvetti had more than knocked down Jordi Alba’s long pass before laying it off to his senior compatriot for his second of the evening.
The two goals take Messi’s total to five goals in three play-off games so far, adding to the 29 he scored in the regular season.
