Antoine Griezmann showed his excellent scoring form by scoring two goals to beat Atletico Madrid 3-1 in the Spanish league on Saturday.
Atletico’s all-time top scorer came on in the 61st minute and needed just a few seconds to score the go-ahead goal. He added another with 10 minutes remaining to seal the win.
Those were goals Nos. 202 and 203 at Atletico for Griezmann, who at 34 is playing a smaller role for Diego Simeone’s side but still adding to his play and scoring.

Griezmann became Atletico’s top scorer with his 174th club goal in January 2024. He has scored five times this season, including in a historic 5-2 defeat to Real Madrid.
Atletico took the lead against Levante through Adrián de la Fuente’s own goal in the 12th, before Manu Sánchez headed the visitors level in the 21st.
Griezmann had an immediate impact when he was sent on by Simeone. First he raced forward to drive in a low cross from Marcos Lorrente, and then he was in position to bang in a rebound to put the result beyond doubt.
“The teams that go far have a good foundation, so we should all be ready to go,” he said. “I would rather play more because all the players want to play, but I accept it and do what I can to help my teammates.”
The victory moved Atletico level with Barcelona, five points behind leaders Real Madrid.
