Bruno Fernandes scored his first international hat-trick in Portugal’s 2026 World Cup qualifier against Armenia on Sunday.
He grabbed his first of the match in late stoppage time of the first half, successfully converting a penalty to score Portugal’s fifth goal of the match.

His second came in the 51st minute with an excellent finish as he found the far corner of the net after receiving a pass into the penalty area from Goncalo Ramos.
The hat-trick goal came from the spot when Bruno converted his second penalty of the match in the 72nd minute to put Portugal 7-1 ahead against Armenia and all but confirm their place in next year’s World Cup in the US, Mexico and Canada.
