Brazil and Arsenal centre-back Gabriel Magalhaes are out for at least four weeks due to a muscle injury. the BBC reported on Tuesday.
The 27-year-old limped during Brazil’s international friendly against Senegal at the Emirates Stadium last weekend.
He has left the Brazilian camp and returned to Arsenal for further treatment.
Gabriel’s injury comes as a blow to Arsenal as the Gunners will face rivals Tottenham Hotspur in a north London derby after the international break.

The duo form a solid centre-back partnership with William Saliba and have scored just five goals in the Premier League this season.
Mikel Arteta will now have to wonder who to choose as Gabriel’s replacement, with Piero Hincapie and Cristhian Mosquera in contention.
In addition to Gabriel, Premier League leaders Arsenal have captains Martin Odegarard, Noni Madueke, Gabriel Martinell, Kai Havertz and Viktor Gyokeres currently out of action due to injury.
