The Indian Under-17 men’s team will begin their 2026 AFC U-17 Asian Cup qualifying match against Palestine at the EKA Arena in Ahmedabad on Saturday.

The team, coached by Bibiano Fernandes, will also face Chinese Taipei, Lebanon and the Islamic Republic of Iran in the group stage. The group winner will then qualify for the final tournament in Saudi Arabia next year, which will also function as a qualification process for the FIFA U-17 World Cup Qatar 2026.

India arrives at the tournament after an extensive preparatory phase, which included the SAFF U-17 Championship title in September and two friendlies in China in October.
