Kylian Mbappe broke Cristiano Ronaldo’s record by scoring the fastest hat-trick in the Champions League for Real Madrid against Olympiakos in their league match in Athens on Thursday.
Mbappé opened the scoring with an assist from Vinicius Jr. before scoring two more in six minutes and 42 seconds. It was about four minutes faster than Ronaldo’s and the second fastest in the Champions League.
Only Mohamed Salah has scored a quicker hat-trick, which was against Rangers in 2022 – one that was 30 seconds quicker.
