Day 10 in Te Araroa

I left Paihia around 7:30 this morning after eating my first mince and cheese pie on the way to a cafe. I was waiting for the boys to join me but they took too long and I started walking. I ended up running into Sam and Dean and Sam decided to continue with me.
Sam and I ended up taking the ferry from Opua to Okiato. After 20 minutes we stopped for a morning break. I finished my baked goods while Sam dug into his lunch bag for his coffee. …
