I woke up to the 5:50 am alarm labeled «PCT» and left camp with Sam and Arnis around 6:15 am The morning involved a lot of walking through the fog. I listened to Olivia Dean’s new album from start to finish.
I finally caught up to the kids because they were stopped and taking pictures of the scenery, which included a lot of cows. When I see these landscapes I imagine them as oil paintings. The kind where, if you look really closely, they’re just blobs of paint, but the further back you go, the sharper the image becomes. …
