Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah was left out of the club’s traveling squad for the upcoming UEFA Champions League 2025-2026 match against Inter Milan at San Siro on Tuesday.
Salah was pictured training with the squad at the club’s training ground on Monday, but his name did not appear in the traveling squad named by Liverpool.
The Egyptian forward has been left out of the starting line-up for Liverpool’s last three matches against West Ham United, Sunderland and Leeds. He gave an interview after the Reds’ 3-3 draw at Elland Road on Saturday, claiming he had been «thrown under the bus» during the slump in form and that his relationship with manager Arne Slot had broken down.
Salah has scored five goals in 19 games for Liverpool this season as the defending champions have struggled with form. Liverpool currently sit ninth in the Premier League, having lost six of their 15 matches, and are 13th in the UEFA Champions League stage ahead of their trip to Milan.
The prolific forward – who signed a two-year contract extension in the summer – will leave for the African Cup of Nations after Liverpool’s next match against Brighton.
