Rasmus Hojlund took his goal tally for Napoli in all competitions to nine as the champions cruised to a 2-0 win over Cremonese to remain two points behind Inter in third place.
Fresh from winning the Italian Super Cup in Saudi Arabia, Napoli were the better side from the first whistle and deservedly took the lead in the 13th minute when Hojlund met a deflection into the net from close range.
And Hojlund was again in the right place at the right time seconds before half-time when Alessio Zerbin could only divert Matteo Politano’s cross straight to the Danish striker, who calmly poked home.

Hojlund has scored six times in 12 Serie A appearances, two more than he scored in an entire Premier League season with Manchester United last season.
“I’m getting better every season,” said Hojlund, who played for Atalanta in Italy before United.
When I played for Atalanta I was obviously a bit younger and now I have a bit more experience. I have played in the Premier League and the Champions League and now I play with very good players.»
