January transfer window updates: AC Milan complete the loan signing of Niclas Fullkrug from West Ham

AC Milan completed the signing of the loan deal for West Ham striker Niclas Fullkrug on Friday, the opening day of the Italian winter transfer window.

Milan have the option to buy the 32-year-old German international at the end of the season for a reported €5 million.

Fullkrug had already started training with his new teammates late last year after passing a medical and was able to make his debut straight away, with Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri confirming he would be named on the bench for Friday’s Serie A match against Cagliari.

Fullkrug played for a number of clubs in Germany before moving from Borussia Dortmund to West Ham in 2024.
