Bournemouth winger Antoine Semenyo is expected to play against Arsenal on Saturday despite reports linking him with an impending transfer to Manchester City.
“Antoine will play, yes,” Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola said at a press conference on Friday.
The Ghanaian international is third on the Premier League scoring charts this season, with his nine goals behind only Erling Haaland (19) and Brentford’s Igor Thiago (11).
The Cherries host Arsenal and then Tottenham in midweek.
“In any case, the idea is that he will be available in these two home games,” said Iraola. «I hope he can be here longer, but I don’t know what will happen.»
Iraola did not dispute reports that a move is imminent.
“Nothing has been signed,” he said. «There are certainly talks. I understand a lot of the noise, but nothing has been signed. Antoine is our player.»
