Indian Super League clubs asked to confirm home venues by January 12; ISL 2025-26 to have Rs. 24.3 Cr. budget

The All India Football Federation (AIFF) has asked all Indian Super League (ISL) clubs to confirm their home venues by Monday afternoon so that the fixtures for the 2025-26 season can be finalized at the earliest.

Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has already announced that the ISL, which was on hiatus due to the lack of a commercial partner, will start on February 14 with all 14 clubs in it.

The competition will have 91 matches – assuming all 14 clubs play – and will have one-match home and away matches.

“To assist AIFF in finalizing broadcast partners, commercial rights partners and the matches for the upcoming season, we request you to confirm the details of the venue where you will play your home matches by 12 noon on January 12, 2026,” Deputy Secretary General M. Satyanarayan wrote in a letter on Saturday.

The Federation further said that the 2025-26 season will have a budget of INR Twenty Four Crores Twenty Six Lakhs Seventy Four Thousand (INR 24,26,74,000/-), with an initial contribution of INR Nine Crores Seventy Seven Lakh Forty Thousand (INR 9,77,40,000/-) from the AIFF and a contribution of INR One Crore (INR 1,00,00,000/-) each of the participating clubs.

The AIFF had earlier said it was ready to accept the participation fee of Rs 1 crore per club in installments till June 2026, if the clubs are unable to pay immediately.
