Tottenham Hotspur sporting director Fabio Paratici will leave in February to join Italian Serie A club Fiorentina, the Premier League club announced on Wednesday.
The 53-year-old resigned as football director of former club Juventus in April 2023 after an appeal against a ban on his role in transfer deals and finances while he was sidelined was rejected by Italy’s top sporting body.
He and Juventus both denied wrongdoing and he returned as sporting director to work alongside Johan Lange in October after serving a football ban.
“We have agreed that Fabio will return to Italy at the end of the January transfer window, in line with his desire to move back home,” Tottenham Hotspur CEO Vinai Venkatesham said in a statement.

“Our management structure is designed to be resilient to personnel changes, and going forward it will be business as usual.”
Paratici will return to try to help Fiorentina move away from the relegation places in Serie A.
“I would like to thank Vinai and the Tottenham Hotspur board for fulfilling my wish to return to Italy and join Fiorentina,” he said. “I have enjoyed my time at the Club, but this opportunity, together with the need to be based in my home country, has led me to this decision.”
