Do not fear evil - the walk

65-9 miles today from the stealthy site to Reids Gap

The calm before the storm

It was a rainy Sunday morning at the stealthy site near Cry Creek. We had a little internet here, so we decided to wait a little before packing for the day. We lay down in the store while the rain spilled outside.

At first, a strong heavy storm cell threw rain while cooling into our campaign house. I could see in the radar that a short window without rain would move shortly so that hopefully we could pack wet but without rain down.

Less than two ills

We are contemplating to take the Mau-Har path. It looks like a really beautiful walk towards a throat of a stream, along a stream, and full of waterfalls and swimming pools. But it is a gorge and will require some descents and increases.

If we take the Mau-Har path, we will cut 4 miles of AN and 1,100 feet of elevation gain. We have been reading the various reviews of this shortcut and are mixed criticism.

Kneaterz’s new Altra Olympus 6 is destroying his Achilles heel. The climbs are especially rough when the pressure is more in the Achilles. It is a very bad condition brought by a terrible shoe design.

I can’t believe Altra destroyed a great shoe with this redesign. Obviously they did not test the hikers with this new design before launching it for sale. Therefore, less escalation is required today to reduce this shit shoe for which we have just paid $ 200.

The devil

The sun began to rummage a little while we headed downhill from the stealth site. The path was a beautiful Cruisy walk along Creek crypt before reaching the paved road and the Tye River.

For today, our goal is to get to Reids Gap and, hopefully, to be able to make Caketop to the brewery of the devil’s backbone, where we can camp at night and obtain some fresh hamburgers. Then we can try to find out what to do with Knockerz torn Achilles and these stupid Altra shoes.

What poison to swallow?

It was pleasant and crossed to the paved road. After crossing the road, the path crosses a very long suspension bridge over the Tye River.

And then it will be a climb with two options, one is to stay in the AT and make 7 miles of climbing with 2,400 feet of increased increase. Option 2 is the Mau-Har path, which is 3 miles and 1,300 feet of elevation gain. With Kneaterz Achilles shattered by these Altra shoes we will have no other option than the Mau-Har option. But I’m afraid it will be a Helaz rock because it falls into what is supposed to be a beautiful river gorge.

Leaving the Tye river, the AT rose 1,100 feet in almost 2 miles. That is when the Marhau path would pick up.

Do not give to your fears if you do, you will not be able to hear your heart. (The alchemist)

The Mark Hall Trail began with an easy gradual escalation before it became a steep climb to the top of a crest. The path later fell into a river gorge that was technician in parts with rock revolts. It was not as bad as I expected based on the comments in Farout, but we still had more trace to walk.

When we approached the stream, I could listen to the wardrobe of water. It was then that Rock Scrable began. There were some very technical parts that required some scales around the stream area. There was a climb that really required that you would climb a large crack in a rock.

We stopped at the stream with the bubbling waterfalls bubbling around us. Knockerz was slightly dehydrated and feeling ill after I gave him some water. We had run out of water before.

He thought he was going to vomit, but he was able to hold her. We ate food and drank as much water as we could and then we started the climb of 1 mile outside the gorge of the river. The raw skin in its Achilles of its Altra shoes was causing its immense pain. As soon as I started the climb, a 5 -foot long black snake slipped in front of me and climbed the rock wall next to me.

After a little more rock technical escalation, we reached the last trail mile that left the river gorge. When we arrived at the Maupin Shelter Knockerz Achilles at the Mauupin Sherockerz, his Altra shoes were apart. We still had 2 miles to Reids Gap.
