Arsenal became the highest-earning women’s football club by 2025, generating more revenue than any other team, according to Deloitte figures released on Monday.
The 2025 Champions League winner climbed from second to first place with revenues of 25.6 million euros ($29.80 million), a 43% increase from the previous year, as leading women’s football clubs collectively surpassed 150 million euros in revenues, according to the Deloitte Football Money League.
Arsenal attracted more than 35,000 spectators to the Emirates Stadium over five matches during the 2024-2025 season, generating the highest matchday revenue of the clubs analyzed at €7 million.
Chelsea were in a close second place with €25.4 million, while last year’s leaders Barcelona dropped to third place with €22 million.
Chelsea also recorded the biggest increase in revenue overall – a 90% increase from 2024, largely driven by commercial revenue with 19.1 million in revenue in that category alone, more than any other club in the survey.
The top 15 women’s clubs raised a record amount of 158 million euros. English teams continued to lead the field, with eight Women’s Super League teams in the top 15 for the second year in a row.
Deloitte’s knowledge and insight leader, Jennifer Haskel, pointed to continued innovation and how clubs are meeting the needs of their emerging fanbases for revenue growth.
“The women’s game is beginning to blaze its own trail with new and expanded brand partnerships, new ticketing strategies and a commitment to truly understanding its evolving fanbase,” she said.
Haskel noticed less growth among teams lower on the list. The revenues of the top three were 46% of the top 15. Everton earned less than in 2024.
“With average revenues reaching new highs, a meaningful gap is emerging between the top-ranked clubs and the rest of the pack,” Haskel said.
The biggest riser in the list was Bayern Munich, whose turnover doubled from 3.6 million euros in 2024 to 7.2 million in 2025.
