My foot feels better and I can almost imagine that the walk does not hurt. I have to deal with my shoes. They are part of the problem. They have holes. During the last two weeks, I could scratch my feet fingers without taking my shoes.

I tried all the options I could find in the outfitters. I had no confidence in any option.

Choose shoes

We both have difficult to adjust. We spend hundreds of hours last year working on the perfect shoe for the historian. He is comfortable and chooses well.

We start with our local teams. They examined our feet and measured them carefully. We tested boots, media, paths of trails and trails of trails.

Our primary care provider sent us to Podiatría. Physiotherapy discovered that historian’s legs were not of the same length. Together, Podiatry and PT corrected the problem of length. Our chiropractic joined Ay Poof, 50 years of back pain was not perfect, but oh, much better.

Due to multiple old ankle injuries, after walking with boots and venerable paths, the historian chose walking boots and paths of paths for daily use. Nirvana standing.

My feet are wide, but thin with a high arch and narrow heels. I have spurs and arthritis. No shoe feels good.

I want to walk. I connected online to find something. The crossed fingers, I asked for a couple of shoes for sale that could be delivered at 48 hours. They were a brand that I used before. The reviews were mixed. If I could obtain 150 miles from them, maybe I could delay the great decision.

Waiting for shoes

While we expected my new shoes to be delivered, we work on the next three weeks of hiking and create our mail replenishment caches.

Every three weeks, we obtain a large house box and then repaired it in the next refueling. We are improving that. This segment has three refueling of 4 days and a refueling of 8 days.

Send the replenishment boxes

Our perfectly full and tagged resupply boxes, we needed to discover how to take them to the UPS store.

Among the hikers who circled around the hotel lobby were two hiking ladies on the oldest set. It turned out that they started a walk singles in Pennsylvania in 1975. They, like me, are about to end. They also had a car. Three women walking along the path of the Apalaches since 1975 collaborated. The mail 5 refueling boxes had no opportunity to be a problem.

Boxes, new shoes. We are ready to go tomorrow.
