Chennaiyin FC have signed Mohammed Ali Bemammer on a free transfer ahead of the 2025-2026 Indian Super League (ISL) season, the club announced on Thursday.
This will be the second ISL side for the defensive midfielder, who spent two seasons with NorthEast United and helped the team to its first silverware, the Durand Cup, in 2024.
The 36-year-old made 56 appearances for NorthEast United over two seasons, scoring five goals and assisting a further four.

Bemammer becomes the second foreign signing for the Marina Machans, who made the move to Mumbai City and FC Goa midfielder Alberto Noguera earlier this week.
Bemammer rose through the youth academy of the Moroccan top team Maghreb of Fez and won the CAF Confederation Cup, the Moroccan Throne Cup and the CAF Super Cup with the same team. He represented the Atlas Lions at the 2021 FIFA Arab Cup and won the African Nations Championship with them the same year.
