Star German midfielder Jamal Musiala returned to the Bayern Munich training on Sunday, only two days after he was replaced only 25 minutes in his appearance in the World Cup match match on Friday evening.
Musiala met Boca Juniors in the 57th minute, but was replaced in the 82nd minute by veteran Thomas Müller. Initially there were concerns about a possible injury, in which Bayern coach Vincent Kompany stated after the game that «he first wanted to talk to the doctors.»
The 22-year-old had recovered from a torn hamstring that was sustained during the Bundesliga season and had not played since April. He resumed the training with Bayern on May 7, but was not selected by Germany -coach Julian Nagelsmann for the semi -final of the UEFA Nations League later that month.
Musiala returned a strong return to competitive action with a hat trick in Bayern’s opening Club World Cup match against Auckland City FC.
