Liverpool completes the signing of Kerkez from Bournemouth in the midst of Roberston’s rumors exit

Left Back Milos Kerkez van Hungary became a member of Liverpool with a long -term contract from Bournemouth for a reported transfer costs of 40 million pounds, the Premier League Delding Champion announced Thursday.

The most expensive addition of the Reds, Germany midfielder Florian Wirtz, was announced last Friday, and that followed on the signing of the Netherlands Jeremie Frimpong, where the duo arrives in England from Bayer Leverkusen.

«I am really happy,» said Kerkez. «It is a real honor for me, a privilege to come and play for one of the largest clubs in the world, (the) largest club in England. I am just very, very happy and excited.»

The arrival of Kerkez comes after 31-year-old Andy Robertson was connected to a move to La Liga’s Atletico Madrid.

The 21-year-old Kerkez made 38 Premier League performances for the Cherries last season when they finished ninth with a club record 56 points in the English top flight. He scored twice and had six assists. He also has 23 performances for Hungary.

Richard Hughes, Liverpool sports director, knows Kerkez well, because he went to the technical director of Bournemouth before moving to Anfield a year ago.

Liverpool will open next season in the Community Shield on 10 August in Wembley Stadium against FA Cup champion Crystal Palace.
