As I mentioned in my last blog,
Trail Magic has been scarce, I haven’t met a great hiker feed from Shenondoah, more than a month ago. I accepted that, apart from an occasional cooler supplied with soft drinks, the possibilities of finding magic of large -scale paths were low or none. Fortunately, to my surprise, I was wrong.
My expectations for Massachusetts were relatively low. Although I was excited to see the family and a friend along the way, I thought a large extent in the state more like a springboard to Vermont.
On my second day in the state, I was able to connect with a cousin that I have not seen in more than ten years and collide at home at night. Thanks Sam! After leaving it at the beginning of the path and walking not even an hour, the drought was over. A sign outside a road crossing Magic publicized a short road through a field. I followed the many signs that denote the road, each advertising «Hamburgers and hot dogs», «smiles» «shadow» and «kindness». I was stunned when I became a spoiled hiker again, and led me to a large carp with hamburgers, hot dogs, fried potatoes and cookies. I sat a little, chatted with Trail Angels and hikers, enjoyed my food and walk again. Half a mile later I spent a refrigerator with soft drinks and sweets, I grabbed a bull network, I took it and kept walking. Another hour later I went to another support with soft drinks and cookies and filled.

Better yet,
He knew Trail Magic would continue to arrive. He had made plans to meet a friend I made while working on a team of paths last season.
A 2023 hiker, Mizman and his wife came out the next day with egg salad sandwiches, fried potatoes and PBR! It has been one of my biggest supporters since we met last September, offering advice and incredible words of encouragement throughout my trip. We sat and talked, exchanging stories and experiences about beer and sandwiches. Finally, I walked again, and Mizmana and his wife planned to meet with me a few hours north at a road crossing to help other hikers pass.
Continuing north,
I was able to take a gatorade of a refrigerator in Dalton and then hit the fat prize in North Adams. Upon arriving in the city, an area of hiker information had four cooling cools of junk food, dressing articles and Gatorade, even better, there was an announcement for a breakfast of pancakes that benefited the services of hikers from North Adams that morning. I have not been very lucky with the events of Maki Bro like this in time, so I was surprised to have arrived in the city that same morning that breakfast was planned. I decided to walk towards the city and knocked on my refueling early and put breakfast later. While reviewing, a group of advisors from a youth desert program asked me if I was walking and needed a return trip to the beginning of the path. I appreciated your offer and received a quick trip to pancake breakfast.

The pancakes were great, but what was most special was that with chance I met the wife of a hiker, father, whom I met in Tennessee. We sat and exchanged stories and obtained some updates about the progress of Pather Time on the path. I chatted with some other paths of trails and then left my way to Vermont.
I also want to shout my best friends, Kasey and Ben to pick me up in Connecticut, so we could all hang out for the day and Ryan, Thomas and Bennet for going out and walking with me in the rain (and bringing lunch beers) and Jack for having breakfast after losing contact a couple of years ago. You, all friction!
Since reconnecting with the family and reliving innumerable amounts of trail magic, it was a warm welcome back to New England. I will be surprised if I get more magic of trails as frequent as that for the rest of my walk, but that week was super special, since I thanked even how many people took the time of their busy lives to support my walk.
