Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta dismissed suggestions that the Premier League leader has adopted a siege mentality under mounting pressure, saying on Friday that the squad’s focus remains firmly on its own performances rather than outside noise.
Arsenal are seven points clear of Manchester City, who have a game in hand, and the north London side’s dreams of an unprecedented quadruple are still very much alive.
“You just have to go into that dressing room and feel the mood, the energy and the way we talk to each other and how much we appreciate the position we are in now,” Arteta told reporters ahead of Saturday’s home match against Everton.
“So our focus is on what we need to do, what we need to preserve and what we need to improve together.”
ARSENAL’S FOUR-FOLD QUESTION
Arsenal are in the final of the League Cup, the quarter-finals of the FA Cup and the last 16 of the Champions League, where they drew 1-1 against Bayer Leverkusen in the first leg on Wednesday.
With Arsenal set to compete in three different competitions in the space of a week, Arteta acknowledged the quadruple question would be impossible to ignore completely.

«Don’t think about it? Not really. We’re going to play in three different competitions in seven days,» he said.
“So that drags you from one to the other, the urgency to be prepared, to translate the messages you want, to make the right decisions and make sure we arrive at every match in the best possible way.
“The rest is a result of that process and how well we do is still a long way off.”
RESEARCH CAT
Bukayo Saka’s performances have come under scrutiny after the Arsenal winger has scored just three goals since November’s international break, but Arteta chose to praise the 24-year-old.
«We trust him completely and love him. What he does for us, for this club, is just incredible at his age, and he still has a huge impact on us,» Arteta said.
«He can deliver an individual performance that is probably not a reflection of his level, like any human being, any player in the world. But overall, when you look at his strength and the momentum he has in the team, it’s just incredible.»
On the injury front, Arteta said there were no new concerns and they will call on Martin Odegaard and Leandro Trossard later vch2.
