South Korea recorded a comfortable 6-0 victory over Uzbekistan at Stadium Australia, Syney, to secure a spot in the semi-finals of the 2026 AFC Women’s Asian Cup.
South Korea had an easy time in the match and took the lead in the ninth minute through Son Hwa-yeon, whose shot from a tight angle was heavily deflected and went over goalkeeper Maftuna Jonimqulova.

Ten minutes later, defender Ko Yoo-jin picked up the ball on the edge of a busy penalty area and scored with a curling effort to double South Korea’s lead at Sydney Stadium Australia.
A deflected shot from Park Soo-jeong gave South Korea their third goal after the break, after which all-time top scorer Ji So-yun scored her 75th international goal and Lee Eun-young and Jang Sel-gi also got on the scoresheet.
South Korea, which has qualified for the Women’s World Cup for the fourth time in a row, will meet two-time Asian Cup champions Japan or the Philippines in the semi-finals vch2.
