Pep Guardiola has insisted “a lot of things can happen” as Manchester City try to overturn a 3-0 deficit to Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League.
City face a huge task in the round of 16 at the Etihad Stadium on Tuesday, after a heavy defeat in the first leg at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium last week lkj5.
Guardiola said at a pre-match press conference on Monday: “It’s a football match, a lot of things can happen.
«We have to concentrate and try to win the game and then see what happens. I don’t have a specific plan, I just try.»

Guardiola has opted not to hold training on the eve of the match as the team recovers from the trip to Madrid and Saturday’s 1-1 draw against West Ham United, which dented City’s Premier League title hopes.
“Training won’t improve us much and we don’t have time to train,” Guardiola said. “I’d rather have them at home.”
The Spaniard, who made his name as a player and manager at FC Barcelona, added that City would instead train briefly on matchday.
«Tomorrow we’ll train. We’ll arrive at 2 p.m., move the legs a bit and go. I’ve done it two or three times this season,» he said.
