Luis Diaz’s red card for Bayern was dismissed despite the referee saying it was the wrong decision

Court chairman Stephan Oberholz ruled on Monday that Dingert’s comments were not relevant and that it was not a «completely wrong» decision because Diaz had contacted the opposing goalkeeper.

«The decisive factor is that the incident is a factual decision that can only be corrected if it is seriously, clearly and beyond a reasonable doubt objectively incorrect. That is not the case here,» he said in a statement.

Diaz must serve the suspension against Union Berlin on Saturday. Bayern can appeal the ruling.
