The 2026 MLS Cup will take place on Friday, December 18, the league announced on Monday.
The competition is hosted by the team with the better regular season record.
This is the last full season before MLS switches to a summer-spring calendar for 2027-2028. The competition will also have a short transitional season of 14 matches, from February to May next year.

The top nine teams from the Eastern and Western conferences qualify for the playoffs, which begin Nov. 18 with wild-card play.
The Round One best-of-three series will take place from November 20 to December 2, followed by the conference semifinals (December 5-6) and the conference finals (December 11-12).
Every play-off match will be broadcast live Apple TV kshu.
