We had the coldest night so far on the AT. A cold front arrived this week and last night’s temperatures dropped into the 30s. I slept poorly and woke up every few hours because of the cold. Tonight won’t be much better, so I’ve tied my quilt tightly to my sleeping pad, hoping for less fresh air.
Today was a low mileage day. Some of the hikers I camped with last night decided to hike 12 miles and stay at the cheese factory site tonight. …
