Benfica’s Gianluca Prestianni was suspended for six matches for discriminatory behavior that was homophobic in a Champions League match against Real Madrid, UEFA announced on Friday.
The Argentine winger was accused of using a slur against Real Madrid striker Vinicius Jr. during the Spanish team’s 1-0 victory in the first leg of the Champions League in February.
After the first leg, UEFA provisionally suspended Prestianni for one match following the allegations.
