Former Arsenal player Thomas Partey accused of several rapes

Former Arsenal -midfielder Thomas Peny is accused of five counts of rape by the metropolitan police.

The 32-year-old is also accused of one count of sexual violence.

Two of the counts of rape are related to one woman, three counts to a second woman, and the only count of sexual attack relates to a third woman.

“The Crown Prosecution Service has authorized the Metropolitan Police Service to charge a man after a proof file has been submitted by detectives.

«The with an indictment and application issued to Thomas Partey, 32 (13/06/1992), Van Hertfordshire, in connection with the following violations: Five counts of rape, one count of sexual violence,» said the official statement.

The violations would have taken place between 2021 and 2022.

Partey was an Arsenal player for five years after signing for Atletico Madrid and left the London club after his contract had ended this summer. He has 53 performances for Ghana.
