Gonzalo, the 21-year-old attacker who continued his breakout tournament, opened the score with a close-range volley of Arda Guler’s Cross.

Ten minutes later, Fran doubled Real’s lead and arrived on the distant pole to hand in the low delivery of Trent Alexander-Arnold after a sharp movement on the left.

Despite the reduced intensity of the game in the burning heat of New Jersey, Real Comfortable saw the game, so Dortmund could not mount a comeback until the game exploded chaos in extra time in 10 minutes.
Replacement Maximilian Bavar hit a rebound in the 93rd minute to withdraw one for Dortmund, but a minute later Kylian Mbappe restored the pillow of Real Two target with a stunning volley.
Dortmund, however, refused to withdraw and the pace of Serhou Guirassy saw him break through the defense of Real to be pulled into the box by Dean Huijsen.
The defender was shown a straight red card, which ruled him from the semi-final and Guirassy Koel converted the resulting spot kick to reduce the shortage to 3-2.
Dortmund came within centimeters of extra time when Thibaut Courtois produced a sensational rescue in the ninth minute of added time to deny Marcel Sabitzer’s powerful strike.

«We lost a bit of our focus and intensity when we didn’t have the ball, and luckily nothing else happened. But in general we had a good 80 minutes and the last 10 minutes to improve.»
Real Madrid will now focus his attention on Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), who defeated Bayern Munich 2-0 to book his place in the semi-final. The winner of that collision will be confronted with Fluminense or Chelsea, who meet on Tuesday, in the final.
