Sunderland and Manchester United played out a goalless stalemate in a Premier League match at the Stadium of Light on Saturday.
Sunderland largely controlled the match but failed to capitalize on their chances against a jaded United team.
Only towards the end did the Red Devils come alive and create a stream of chances in the closing minutes. Striker Matheus Cunha had the best of the bunch after full-back Patrick Dorgu found him with a cut-back in the six-yard box.
But Cunha’s right-foot shot was deflected by home goalkeeper Robin Roefs.
