Mexico Provisional Squad for 2026 FIFA World Cup — Complete List; Ochoa, including Jimenez


The Mexican Football Federation has announced the country’s preliminary 55-man squad ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be co-hosted with the United States of America and Canada next month.

Head coach Javier Aguirre will be tasked with reducing the squad to 26 by June 1, after the two friendlies against Ghana (May 22) and Australia (May 30). El Tri will play another friendly against Serbia on June 4 before the tournament starts on June 11.

Mexico have been placed in Group A and will start their campaign against South Africa before facing South Korea and the Czech Republic.

Veteran goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa, named in the preliminary group, is aiming to reach his sixth World Cup.
