The 2025-2026 Indian Super League season culminated in a thrilling final day of play as East Bengal lifted its maiden ISL crown after a 2-1 win over Inter Kashi was enough to secure a first top-flight title in men’s football after 22 years.
Due to a delayed start to this season, this campaign has been shortened, with each team playing 13 matches. The team that ends the season at the top of the rankings will be crowned champions.
Therefore, there will be no play-offs for the ISL Cup this time, making this the first time the tournament will be played in a traditional competition format typically found around the world.
