Auxerre coach Christophe Pelissier has been fired, sources close to the Ligue 1 club said on Friday, after the team narrowly avoided relegation.
Pelissier, 60, had one year left on his contract.
He took charge in October 2022 and led the club straight back to the top flight in his first full season after relegation.
After finishing eleventh last season, Auxerre only guaranteed his safety on the last day of this season with a victory in Lille.
Pelissier previously had spells as coach of Amiens and Lorient.
