India have confirmed their final 22-man squad for the 2026 Unity Cup after being hit by the withdrawal of seven Mohun Bagan SG players.
“Mohun Bagan SG recalled their players from the national team camp in Bengaluru just hours before their scheduled trip to the UK, which meant India had to fly out with the remaining 17 players on Sunday,” AIFF said in a statement on Tuesday.
In their place, four players have been added to the squad. Macarton Nickson and Nikhil Barla arrived in the squad on Tuesday afternoon, while Mohammed Sanan and Vikram Partap Singh will arrive in London on Wednesday morning.

«The visas for the four new signings were expedited by the AIFF on an urgent basis, allowing India to form a squad of at least 22 members ahead of the first match of the Unity Cup,» the statement said.
India will play Jamaica in the second semi-final in London on Wednesday.
