The day started with the world’s smallest toilet. Yesterday it was full of flies and bees, but today it was clear! Even privacy was nowhere to be found.
The highlight of the day was Max Patch, one of the most popular views on the south side of the AT. And rightly so! You have a nice 360 view here. You can see the Smoky’s on one side and the mountains to climb on the other. It was nice! Especially since the sky was clear today.

After Max Patch you walk towards some meadows, which remind me of home. Followed by lush forests with many streams.

Beavers texted me and asked about our whereabouts. Today he’s going to Hot Springs, he’ll be there with Trombone and Ferdinand. There they will take a zero day. We’re walking to Hot Springs tomorrow afternoon, so we’ll see you then!
At camp, we finally made a fancy meal that we wanted to try a little bit: pudding! We bring powdered milk and some instant pudding, and it works! It is actually a very good dessert for the road. We are improving our game.
