The small loft was very cozy. I walked down the stairs following the aroma of a hot, freshly brewed cup of coffee. I poured myself a cuppa and caught up on some online tasks before tackling the housework.
Our first task of the day was to do laundry. Rascal, Jug and I share the machines and calculate the logistics of the next few days to plan our resupply. A Walmart restock is my favorite. This time I’m trying some experiments with new foods and treats. Highlights include macaroni and cheese pizza, LMNT watermelon, and the Gripz snack variety box. I will report on this week’s menu.

Our city’s ambitions are always greater along the way. We had a plan to go to the cinema and see one of the three movies showing there this week. Later, at Walmart, we ran into other hikers talking about bowling. It all sounded fun, but in reality, we went back to the trail angel’s house to get organized and couldn’t get out again.

We were too busy eating snacks, drinking beer, resting our feet, and making friendship bracelets. Priorities. I was glad to have a quiet night before heading back to the trail in the morning!
