The hiking we were looking forward to (Day 37)

The last few days have been rainy, but today it’s finally dry again! The elevation was very forgiving and the trail quite pleasant. This is what we were looking forward to!

But before we could enjoy that, we enjoyed Mountain Harbour’s famous «best breakfast on the AT.» It did not disappoint! It was amazing!

After inhaling our required calories for the week, we started walking again and today we hit the 400 mile mark!

The unique feature of the day was all the waterfalls! First up today was Jones Falls, over a small blue blaze. It’s so worth it!

We meet Scholar and Mollie again! They were packing their bags and having a great time!

Beautiful walk along the river

The section along the Elk River had been one of the prettiest and most forgiving yet! Smooth and dry trail; my feet are grateful. My eyes too! I love river walks like these.

More waterfalls!

Next up was Mountaineer Falls. It’s not as impressive as Jones Falls, but it’s still very nice. The next section wasn’t anything very exciting, but it was still enjoyable. In sections like this I tend to daydream a little, like when you were a kid in the back seat of the car, looking out the window.
