A winning start is what South Korea and the Czech Republic will look forward to when they face each other in their FIFA World Cup 2026 Group A match at Guadalajara Stadium on Friday.
The Asian team is part of the final for the eleventh time in a row, while the Czech Republic is back at the World Cup after a twenty-year absence.
This will be the first meeting between the teams at the World Cup.
What are the expected weather conditions for South Korea vs. Czech Republic?
The match between South Korea and Czech Republic FIFA World Cup 2026 Group A will start at 8:00 PM local time (7:30 AM IST on June 12).
According to BBC weather, the temperature will be around 22 degrees Celsius, but feels like 26 degrees. The humidity is expected to be around 72 percent, while there is also a chance of precipitation in combination with a weak wind from the west.
Last month an analysis by the climate research group Attribution of world weather found that about a quarter of the 104 matches at the expanded tournament in the United States, Mexico and Canada are likely to be played in conditions exceeding FIFPRO’s recommended safety limits, almost twice the risk observed during the 1994 World Cup in the US.
In response, FIFA said it has implemented heat risk planning, with measures such as three-minute hydration breaks in each half of matches, cooling infrastructure for fans and players, modified work-rest cycles and enhanced medical preparedness that can be scaled based on real-time conditions.
