Father Tom Campsite to the place of trees illuminated by the Sun
I have been awakening earlier in recent days, between 5:00 am and 5:10 am so it is not surprising that it has been the first to leave Father Tom camp. And I kicked the day off with a small alternative through the city. I wanted to visit Dunkin ‘before leaving haha. The people who worked at the counter were brave and cheerful despite the fact that the credit card machine acted. When eating/drinking, I heard one of them say that I was already in their third cup of coffee. It makes sense, I suppose.
At 6:50 am, I was walking again and 6:53 am back in which I was moving away from the road and by a single track path. The mosquitoes welcomed me.

This forest reminded me of some of the high elevation in the southern parts of the path.
My backpack was remarkably heavy, very similar to Hulk now full of 5 days of food. For my next section, I hope to cover 124 miles to get to access to Rutland, Vermont. Scheme do this for 5 full days + tomorrow. I have not done a stretch so much time in the AT in a long time (or maybe at all in the AT?). And according to my research, it seems that it is also intensifying the change of elevation per day. So why?
In general, there is no need to go so distance in the AT without replenishing. This time also, there are options to enter other cities, but this is the plan that made more sense in my brain. I am sure that I will regret the idea now that I am on the path transporting all the weight, but whatever.

Maritime walks through the wetland areas are becoming increasingly common.
My «new» shoes felt as if they were using moccasins, light as a pen. In fact, I was climbing on the way so easily in them that I was wondering if maybe Brooks had a fusion or secret collaboration. With PF Flyers … «the shoes guarantee that a child runs faster and jumps taller,» according to Scotty’s «little ones» Scotty, Scotty. Seriously, they felt so light compared to the great clunkers I had before.
I had accumulated the uphill in my mind for this section leaving the city. Cheshire has an elevation of approximately 1,000 feet and Mount Graylock has only 3,500 feet.

This is the tower/war memorial about me. Grey

That is Bascom Lodge, unfortunately not open the day I arrived.

The path always leads.
In spite of a relatively shorter day in terms of mileage (compared to what I have planned for the following days), the rise of elevation today was greater than 5,000 feet. That is still nothing super out of the ordinary, it is only that the path has not been so for some time. I am returning to serious increases again. Said all this, it really wasn’t bad.
Leaving Graylock the mountain that went to Graylock the city …
And I found some magic of trails. There was a picnic table nearby and lunch with some additional treats 😊

A bad photo, but this is the Hoosic River
When leaving the city, the last step was in this entrance and forest. Fool in.
Some good scenes remain in Massachusetts, before heading to the next state …
And then, at the end of the afternoon, I found my way to Vermont and was received by a large wooden sign …
Vermont started with a lot of lush vegetation, mainly moss …
I was tired at the end of the day, but I also arrived at the camp around 4:30 pm, so they excited me. Before finding the camp, I met Gravity, who is 69 years old and is walking along the long path with another type called Topo. Both are triple corwners. It was great to talk to him and I hope to run into him again. The AT path and the length coincides with each other for approximately 100 miles or so.
The mosquitoes began to swarm in the middle of the dinner. But my store is a sanctuary and I love it. However, I have a confession. I have not yet dominated the configuration, particularly aligning it with the address I want. With my old tiger wall, it’s easy. And it is easy to approach with the Durston, but for some reason I am always a bit off. I realize that this makes no sense to all of you, unless you have one yourself. Maybe I can try to demonstrate something at night.

I packed them from the most early path of the path in the day. I didn’t realize that they were spicy! Anything with flames is not a good idea for me. But I will persevere.

Vermont view from my store.

The «Council author» button is a direct link to my fund collection page. I hope to raise $ 2 for each mile that walks in the ECT, so around $ 12,000. I am amazed at all the love shed for this great cause. You are all really incredible. Thank you!
