Haitian coach Sebastien Migne regretted the first two goals his team conceded in Friday’s 3-0 defeat to Brazil that eliminated the country from the World Cup, but was proud of his effort.
“Maybe we were a bit naive with the first two goals, and then it’s over and it’s getting harder and harder by the minute,” he said.
“They (Haiti’s players) have shown that they deserve to be here at the World Cup,” he added. «And unfortunately today we played against Brazil and there was too big a gap. If you want to perform well, everything has to be in line, and today we made two mistakes.»

«Unfortunately we are indeed eliminated. Scotland lost to Morocco, so we won’t be able to progress. But it has been 52 years since we played in the World Cup. It is something we have to keep in mind. We will respect the fans. I know the players, I can trust them. Even though we were very disappointed, even though we lost to Brazil.»
«That’s it, they were better than us. We have to learn the lessons from that and we have to come back stronger. And in five days (we play against Morocco) a semi-finalist of the last edition, and we will have to make our fans and our supporters proud.»
