Algeria fought back from a goal down to beat Jordan 2-1 on Monday, keeping alive their hopes of reaching the knockout rounds of the FIFA World Cup and condemning their opponents to an early exit from Group J.
After a long and frustrating battle to break open a resolute Jordanian defense, Algeria turned the game around with two goals in the space of thirteen minutes in the second half from Nadhir Benbouali and Amine Gouiri.
