Colombia and Portugal play out a goalless draw to end the group stage; COL vs POR player ratings

Colombia and Portugal played out an entertaining goalless draw on June 27 to conclude their group stage campaigns in Miami.

Both teams were already assured of qualification in the match and the stalemate means Colombia qualify as group winners with Portugal in second.

Colombia will now play against Ghana on July 3 and Portugal against Croatia a day earlier.

The coffee farmers was the dominant side for most of the match and thought it had won the match in second-half stoppage time when Davinson Sánchez headed in a short corner, but he ruled it offside.

It is the first time that Colombia has played a goalless draw at the World Cup.
