Belgium vs Senegal 2026 FIFA World Cup match interrupted due to pitch invaders

The Belgium-Senegal FIFA World Cup 2026 Round of 32 match at Seattle Stadium was briefly interrupted on Wednesday due to a pitch intruder.

The official broadcast stopped when three people entered the field as the match restarted after the hydration break around the 30-minute mark.

All three members were taken down by the security operatives and removed from the area.

Habib Diarra had put Senegal ahead after scoring his sixth goal for the national team in the 24th minute.

It is not the first time that a World Cup match has been stopped due to a pitch invasion.

In 2022, 35-year-old Mario Ferri, who calls himself “The Falcon,” interrupted the Portugal-Uruguay match in Qatar when he sprinted onto the field wearing a blue Superman T-shirt with “Save Ukraine” on the front and “Respect for Iranian woman” on the back.
