Second-half goals from Azzedine Ounahi and Soufiane Rahimi helped Morocco beat Canada 3-0 in the round of 16 of the 2026 FIFA World Cup at Houston Stadium on Saturday.
After a goalless opening period, Achraf Hakimi found Ounahi outside the penalty area, where the midfielder slid the ball sideways past Crepeau Maxime to give Morocco the lead.
With co-host Canada chasing the match, Morocco punished it further through Ounahi’s second and substitute Rahimi, both of whom were set up by Brahim Diaz.

Morocco has qualified for the quarter-finals of the World Cup for the second edition in a row.
However, there is cause for concern for the Africans after tournament top scorer Ismael Saibari went off injured in the 22nd minute.
