The 2026 FIFA World Cup round of 16 match between Brazil and Norway has been the subject of questions over kick-off time as weather conditions could affect the start in Dallas on Sunday.
According to FOX Weatherthe forecast for the game has a temperature of around 83 degrees Fahrenheit, with a chance of scattered thunderstorms. The ROWI (Risk of Weather Impact) is high, meaning this could be a match with several unpredictable variables.
Accuweather says: «some sun, then increasing cloudiness and very warm; a strong thunderstorm this afternoon; watch for flash flooding, hail and localized damaging winds. A strong evening thunderstorm; otherwise clear to partly cloudy; watch for flash flooding, hail and localized damaging winds.»
If thunder and lightning stop play during the match, FIFA has strict rules on whether or not the match can continue.
According to regional public safety guidelines, a World Cup match must be suspended immediately if lightning is detected within a radius of approximately 8 miles (13 kilometers) of the stadium.
