Note: Due to the comfort of going to the Scout camp and being left in Florence Lake, I continued there again. That means I skip a good part of the mountains. I will happily plan a future trip to cover that section!

I woke up at 5:00 in Scout Camp. I left my hammock, changed to the path of path and packed everything in bags depending on whether I can wear them on PCT. I think my backpack already has everything I need for the PCT. At least I hope you do it.

I had breakfast with the Scout troop. Then I returned to the camp to grab my backpack. The entire camp gathered at the Prado de la Flag for the morning flags. I stopped to say goodbye to some employees and all in our troop.

While walking towards the parking lot, Chuck, who was taking me to the beginning of the path, told me that he wanted him to have it on video. In the midst of all the regular scouts of Scouts and my farewell to the people, I missed that the entire camp had a shout of «Goodbye, Mr. Walker». I am glad that Chuck has mentioned it, since I could return and say goodbye to the camp and thank them for their good wishes. As they are something used, my goodbye was musical of the sound of music. «So long, goodbye, AUF Wiedersinin, Aloha!» (It was «Aloha friday» in the camp)

Chuck took me to Florence Lake and planned a bicycle ride along the roads there.

The landscape on the way on Kaiser Pass reminded me why I do walking. Previously, I had some feelings found about spending the effort to return to the road. The landscape changed that. I really wanted to walk again.

I took the aquatic taxi through Lake Florence with several other hikers and learned so little about them.
I started walking with Jo-Jo (SP?), A recent tuft graduate being part of the JMT with friends of the university. We had a pleasant and pleasant conversation all the way to Muir Trail Ranch (MTR), where he was with his friends.

Perhaps a better question is how long until Detraining smells the performance more than rest helps.

My legs felt well on MTR’s walk, which is promising. I made a brief backpacking trip last year from Florence Lake about Selden Pass. I think many things were not ideal on that trip (sleep, dehydration, not acclimatized, heavy package). I just remember feeling completely

Exhausted at the climb to Selden Pass.
What a difference with the trip I made last year. Last year, the 3000 feet rise from Muir Trail Ranch (MTR) to Selden Pass was absolutely exhausting.

I wondered yes, and I expected, this year it would be better. It was much better! I had lunch in the 10K elevation, but because I was exhausted or hungry, but because it was getting late and wanted to have space for dinner in a couple of hours.

I arrived at Marie Lake and camped. Nostalgia pushed me to configure my store in the same place as last year.
