Iran qualifies for Women’s AFC Asian Cup 2026, follows India, Bangladesh in the final


Iran has booked the last ticket for the Women’s Asian Cup and beat Jordan 2-1 with the cast that is now set for the 2026 tournament in Australia.

The side of Marziyeh Jafari dated the opportunities with the victory in Amman on Saturday to ensure that it will be from 1-21 March at the event in Perth, Gold Coast and Sydney.

Defending champion China, Asian powerhouses Japan and South Korea, all automatically qualified together with the host country.

Participating in Iran in beating the qualifications was India, Bangladesh, Taiwan, Vietnam, Uzbekistan, the Philippines and Noord -Korea.

«It is an incredibly exciting time for the AFC Women’s Asian Cup Australia 2026 – the last 12 teams are locked up,» says Sarah Walsh, Chief Sarah Walsh, Sunday.

«There is a real energy building, not only here in Australia, but in Asia, and this various, high-quality line-up shows how far women’s football has come.»

The tournament lot will take place on July 29 in Sydney.
