UCL 2025-26: Mourinho’s Fenerbahce to be confronted with Feyenoord in Champions League qualification


Jose Mourinho will take his Fenerbahce team to Feyenoord in the third qualifying round of the Champions League after the draw was made on Monday.

Fenerbahce, who finished second in the Turkish league, goes to Rotterdam for the first stage on 5 or 6 August and organizes the return to Istanbul on 12 August.

The winner will continue to a qualifying play-offs round in August with a place in the lucrative 36-team competition phase at stake.

In other combinations between teams that have not won their domestic competition, Benfica plays the first stage at Nice, and the winner of the second Clash qualifying round between Salzburg and Brann will organize Club Brugge in the first stage.

Benfica and Salzburg – who play the first stage against Brann in Norway on Wednesday – have an early start of their European season after his return from the FIFA Club World Cup in the United States.

The Benfica season ended on 28 June and lost to the final champion Chelsea in the Tour of 16 and Salzburg played in the group stage until 26 June.

Also in the Champions League qualification section for Non-Champions, the winner between Rangers and Panathinaikos will move forward to play Viktoria Plzen or Servette.

Games in the second qualifying round were completed on July 30.
