Long night, great day!
Today I woke up early. I only had about 10 miles to enter the city, so my legs felt that they had some extra juice. The camp in Sand Creek was a bust. I was alone again and my store was at an angle. However, it was too vague to alter it, so sleeping was quite difficult to achieve. Although I didn’t care. When the sun came out, I was packed and on the road.
Sailing the green tunnel
Today’s path was all green tunnel. However, only about 1,500 feet of total gain, so I was sailing. That is, until I got to my first flock in the middle of the path. I wasn’t really sure what the game plan should be. It was a mixture of cows and calves for adults. I know that sometimes cows can put on a little fighters, so I decided to hit a bit to avoid them. The fact that adults locked my eyes with me all the time made me feel that my route outside the path was a good movement.

Once I surrounded my cows, I moved again. I went through the lovely Prado Lipe and then headed to the northern bifurcation of the Arkansas river. There is a great camp there and the river flowed. I decided to take a short break there and fill some water before the last push to the city. From there I had a modest 700 feet rise that had excellent views of, I think, Mount Shavano.

Arriving in the city!
Once I won the crest, everything went downhill to the 50’s highway. I passed some hikers with their dogs, but I didn’t see any other hiker. Once I got to the road, I took off my thumb and had a 5 -minute walk. Mario and Naomi were incredibly pleasant people who took me directly to the hostel at the exit. Once I entered the room, I left and immediately got a hamburger and a beer and started relaxing. I could also chat with my wife and children. I really needed that. Stay connected to them keeps my mind punished while I am here. Thanks Wi-Fi! A look from hikers have arrived, so I think it will end up being a great experience in the city!

Pink, spine and sprout
Rose: City Day. Burgers. Beers
Thorn: I will never know one day from the city that comes with an attached spine.
BUD: My legs feel great. After food and real rest, I hope to attack the second half of the CT with a renewed enthusiasm!
